“Babies and toddlers are particularly affected by chemical toxins. Their development moves so quickly through a series of milestones, at which points they are exceptionally vulnerable to damage from these chemicals. It is therefore vitally important that these youngsters, above all else, are provided with organic foods. Babies and toddlers eat fewer food types but far more of them, especially fruit and vegetables. The pesticides so widely used by our modern techniques of intensive farming are commonly present in these products. Feeding our young people with such affected foods at a time when they are least able to deal with them is such a damaging practice. Further to this, these children can be ingesting multiple pesticide residues because they consume up to three times more food per unit of body weight than the national average.
The research conducted to date, which already shows so clearly the harmful effects of toxic chemicals, is done on single pesticides. The “cocktail effect” which babies and toddlers may be taking into their bodies through non-organic foods will be that much more harmful to them. This is a frightening thought when it is known that even a tiny dose can adversely affect the immune, hormone and circulatory systems of babies. The message is clear – to provide our youngsters with the best chance of normal growth and development, we should feed them organic foods. During the critical periods of pregnancy, breast-feeding, weaning and growth up to seven years of age, a diet free of pesticides, chemicals, hormones and genetic modifications gives the best possible start in life.
Bellamy’s Organic Babyfood offers a range of products that meets this goal. The foods are pure and natural with none of the harmful additives that can damage children’s development. Even parents who have traditionally prepared their own foods for babies and toddlers can have faith that Bellamy’s Organic Babyfood will provide tasty, nutritious meals – just like home made! Bellamy’s Organic Babyfood has my complete support. It is great to finally see on our supermarket shelves a range of products that genuinely considers what is best for growing children.”

Hello Dooley,
Max, my 8 month old grandson and his parents visited us from Melbourne for a week, in late May. Shopping at Woolworths Huonville on our way home from the Tahune Airwalk, I am pleased to say that I take credit for 'discovering' your range of organic babyfoods. Max started enjoying your Baby Oats and Toothiepegs immediately, while daughter Sarah has been able to continue to obtain both products from her local Woolworths supermarket and has introduced them to other members of her mother & baby group. She did have some initial difficulty finding the product range on the shelf, as they were obscured by a large end display of disposable nappies!
As someone interested in organic foods for the past 25 years, while pursuing a sales and marketing/general and state management career in the food and beverage industry, may I take this opportunity to congratulate Bellamy's Organic on their important initiative in this critical area for the future health of the world's children.
Warm regards,
Barry Chapman
